Who we are
Studio at Jericho creates calm, enduring homes shaped around how clients want to live. We believe our surroundings have a profound effect on how we feel, and that thoughtful interiors can support a sense of ease and wellbeing — with moments of colour or an unexpected detail bringing pleasure to everyday life.
Our work is characterised by a love of texture, natural materials and a warm, heritage colour palette. We enjoy mixing vintage and contemporary pieces and encourage clients to be confident with colour, creating homes that feel personal, layered and individual rather than trend-led.
The studio works primarily on renovations of period and character properties, where a building can be carefully stripped back and properly understood before being thoughtfully reconfigured. This approach allows decisions to be made in context, resulting in interiors that feel resolved and cohesive rather than piecemeal.
The Studio
Studio at Jericho is led by Jess Conway, an interior designer with over twenty years’ experience specialising in period properties and full renovations. Her approach is considered and architectural, balancing respect for existing buildings with the practicalities of contemporary living.​
Alongside her practice, she has spent several years teaching interior design and leading short courses, reinforcing a thoughtful and well-informed design process.
The studio is based between Bath and Frome in Somerset and works on projects across the South West and in London.
How we work
Our work is guided by a respect for existing architecture, with proportion, light and the careful selection of natural materials informing every stage of the design process. Alongside this, we consider how a home is experienced day to day — where a considered detail, shift in tone or moment of colour can quietly lift a space.
Studio at Jericho collaborates closely with clients from the early stages of a project, helping to establish a clear design direction before moving into the detail. This measured approach supports well-judged decisions and avoids overly decorative or piecemeal outcomes.
While each project responds to its own setting and brief, the aim remains consistent: to create homes that are quietly modern, grounded in their architecture, and designed to endure.
